Lynn and Jeannette Conver

Lynn and Jeannette are members of SIL International, living and working here in the US due to family and health considerations. They have served in several capacities over the years, originally moving to the Puget Sound area in 1991 to work on translation for a group of Southeast Asian refugees. Lynn also taught for two years at the Canada Institute of Linguistics in Langley, BC, where their daughters Johanna and Mackenzie are currently graduate students! The Convers also have two sons: Andrew, who lives and works in the Seattle area; and Isaac, who along with his wife Andrea lives in Mumbai, India, where they serve with the International Justice Mission.

The Convers are currently remotely assigned to SIL's East Asia Group, i.e., they live here but consult with and assist co-workers in Asia via email and periodic trips over there. Lynn is a linguistics consultant, assisting colleagues both in their analysis of the minority languages of that region and in sharing their findings via publishing and presentations at conferences. Jeannette helps out in the areas of program planning and member care.
